I loved this bundle, when I bought it I didn’t think I would fall in love with Korean the way I did
I’ve always dabbled in languages and I thought I would just try out Korean in preparations for a trip to Korea
but now 2 years later I can say that this was the best start I could have imagined:
Hangul Master was perfect for really cementing Hangul and the sounds in my head
and TTMIK1 was great for getting started, the grammar is made easy to understand, I am aware that many other sources really spend time on all the details and nuances of specific grammar structures, but exactly this is why I lose interest or I feel that what I’m learning isn’t “use-able”
This is where TTMIK1 is different! It takes it down to a very basic level yes, but when you are a beginner … basic is best! Getting started on actually using the languages with some vocab drizzled in is perfect for beginners so that you can use the things you learn.

Love this book! Finished Hangeul Master a while ago and now I’m nearly finished level 1.
These books helped me learn so much, the Hangeul Master taught be the basics of Hangeul and even how to be able to read Korean handwriting and create my own style. The levels books have given me so much information about important words, phrases and grammar. I love it.
I started with this book over 2 years ago. This helped me build a solid foundation in Korean. I love how TTMIK organized their lessons and I never once found it to be overwhelming.
These were the first Korean books I bought, and I instantly loved the cohesive designs. Usually textbooks tend to cram as much information as possible into one page, and this can get overwhelming. I enjoyed how the information was spread across the book. It made the task of learning a language feel much more simple, as the lessons move at a comfortable pace. 10/10 recommend as a starting point when learning the Korean language!

This is an extremely useful package for beginner learners. Through these books, you will learn how to read, write and pronounce the Korean alphabet and learn some common grammar patterns and expressions. The books are easy to use with clear explanations and lots of sample words and sentences. I can recommend this book package to anyone who wants to start learning Korean from scratch!

These books are great, I started the Hangeul Master Book a few days ago and it’s all been well. Although so far 가 has only been taught with “G” and not the “K” sound unlike with the audio. Although I picked up how to use it the next few consonants. The books came smaller then I expected, as well as smaller then I’ve seen with other people. Although I still enjoy and can learn from them with ease.
I’ve been studying more and more, and it’s safe to say the Hangeul Master is an amazing book. I like to look throughout the book before I fully read it and everything is explained super well. The book includes some amazing examples, and I like listening to the audio’s throughout my day to get a proper understanding of how to pronounce each Korean vowel and consonant. Other it can take a few tries of reading I always end up understanding the explanations, even with my slow brain. So far I’ve only scratched the surface of what I hope to uncover with this book, and I can’t wait to move onto more complex Hangeul and when it comes time to practice and create my own style of Korean handwriting. Every time I look at the books, not just Hangeul Master, my love for TTMIK grows as well as their books. In the future I hope to reach level 10 and study with all of their other books. And apologies for my some-what mean original review, the more I read into the books (Mainly Hangeul Master so far.) the more I regret that review. Since looking at it I realise they were only small from the books I’ve been using for school, and they are actually bigger then I would imagine them to be. As well as ㄱ being better taught throughout the book with ㅋ. Thank you TTMIK for putting the time, effort, strength, and love into teaching people how to read, write and speak Korean. 감사합니다!! And thank you to everyone who put effort in drawing, writing, design, managing and publishing such magnificent books. And although only studying Hangeul Master so far, I already know that the level 1 workbook and textbook will be equally or even greater then the Hangeul Master book.

They arrived very quickly and without any damage. I loved studying with them, they are very pretty and it’s obvious that a lot of work went into designing them. They implement proven and effective methods of learning, like forcing you to use verbs or phrases that you learned earlier but in new situations, which makes new things stay in your memory for much longer. TTMIK team has done a fantastic job with making learning process organised, efficient but not tedious 😊. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase 🙂

Even with the covid pandemia the shipping was very fast. Those books are perfect to start learning korean, whatever your reasons are for. I am halfway of level 1 but I can already feel the progress ! I went with the standard shipping and it arrived in less time than approximated (Im in Australia). So already a PLUS. This Beginners Package is my very first purshase in starting my journey to learn Korean. And I am loving them. I found the Hangeul book easy to follow in learnng how to read and write Hangeul. I struggle a little with the sounds but I think that’s becuase of my native language being Australian English but watching Youtube videos along with the book really helps. And I find it really useful to be able to listen to the free podcasts on the website while looking at and reading the textbook and then practising further with the workbook. I am so glad I took the chance and bought this Beginners Package and even though I am only just over halfway through the textbook I am already ordering the Level 2 Textbook & Workbook.
